Reaching the End

We have reached the end of Sittin' Pretty with Dustin Lynch. In this finale post I'm going to talk about what I learned, the most challenging and rewarding things I found while doing this blog.

What I learned:

One of the most important things I learned while doing this blog on Dustin Lynch is that he is a very hard working man. He went to college and graduated with a degree in Biology. He then got a job working for a sewer plant. While doing all this he continued to write song, and preform them at Bluebird cafe. He never gave up, and his dream of becoming a country artist came true.

Another thing that I learned was that Dustin Lynch was more successful in his first year of being a country artist than most people are. He made number one on so money different country charts. He has also sold over 650,000 downloads. He even knocked the Zac Brown Band into second place on country billboards album charts. I can't even imagine what else is to come.

Challenges I had:

The main challenge that I had while trying to find information for this blog was finding reliable sources. A lot of the web sites I looked at didn't seem very accurate. They looked like they were just made up. And it took a lot of time to find sites that I thought were reliable.

The other challenge I had was finding new information. As you all already know, I am a HUGE Dustin Lynch fan. So I already knew a lot about him. I already know about his college degree, where he grew up, and how he got his big start before I started doing this blog. But after a lot of research I found out some things like his hobbies such as hunting, and fishing. I also found out that he loves the smell of baked cobbler!

Rewarding Moments:

The biggest reward I had is knowing that this is my last post, and I finished! This was a huge project for my class, and I did it. I may have had some challenges, but I pushed through. I'm also so proud of my self for turning every post in on time, if not early. It was also rewarding that I got at least a 90% on all of the post. Yay me!!

This is it the last post of my Dustin Lynch devoted blog. You should now know everything about Dustin that I know. I had a ton of fun with this blog. I had a few challenges, but I also learned a lot about Dustin and blogging. Now we can all say that we are  Sittin' Pretty with Dustin Lynch!

Greatest accomplishments

As I close in on Sittin' pretty with Dustin Lynch, I think we should concentrate more on Dustin's accomplishments, and less on cobblers and cafes. I have dedicated this blog to all things Dustin Lynch. I would like to take this post to talk about what I would consider Dustin's five greatest accomplishments.

#5: Key to Tullahoma
Dustin Lynch was born and raised in a small whiskey town, Tullahoma Tennessee. Dustin Lynch returned to his hometown in late September to headline the 41-A music festival.  zimbio.com stated:
He shortly discovered Tullahoma had a surprise for him. Shortly before his set Mayer Lane Curlee called Lynch to the stage, presenting him with an official key to the city.
I think it's so cool that they gave Dustin a key to the city. He now truly seems like a small town hero.

#4: 650,000 downloads
"Cowboys and Angels" one of my favorite songs by Dustin Lynch. It's a true love story that he wrote about his grandparents. It was also his first single off of his self-titled debut album "Dustin Lynch".
On examiner.com it stated:

"Cowboys and Angels" sold over 650,000 downloads, and has over 4 million views on Vevo and YouTube. That's a lot of downloads and views for one song, but it is a great song! http://www.examiner.com/article/country-singer-dustin-lynch-garners-2-aca-nominations

#3: Number 1 on billboards country album charts
The much publicized Dustin Lynch lives up to his press this week, as his self titled debut album barrels into no. 1 on billboards country album charts. If you couldn't already guess, Dustin Lynch's album is by far my favorite album. And yes I did buy it the day it came out! So it was no surprise to me when I heard Dustin had the number 1 album, and knocked the Zac Brown band to number 2.

#2: Album Release
Dustin Lynch's self titled debut album released on August 21, 2012. Within the first week of being released the album had sold over 23,000 copies, and made number 3 on billboards country album charts.
roughstock.com said:

Dustin Lynch debuted at number 1 with his self titled album. It's the highest debut on the country albums chart for a new artist this year. http://www.roughstock.com/blog/chart-news-for-august-29-2012-dustin-lynch-s-debuts-at-number-1
That's Dustin for ya. Making a big entrance as a new artist.

#1: Touring with Keith Urban
In July 2013 Keith Urban is going to kick of his tour with Little Big Town, and Dustin Lynch. Keith Urban is a huge name in country music. Dustin as a new country artist touring with Keith Urban is a big deal. And it should be a good show too! They will be stoping in Detroit during there tour on August 4. Now I just have to wait for tickets to go on sale so I can go see my idol.
All other tour dates can be found on Keith Urbana web site: http://www.keithurban.net/tourdates

What amazing accomplishment Dustin Lynch has done, all in his first year of being a country music artist. I can't imagine what else is to come.

Do you eat fish?

Just like Dustin Lynch I have always loved to go fishing. As a little girl I would always go fishing with my dad, and now going with my friends. It's just always been a love of mine, as well as Dustin's. So I got to thinking, is fish a good (healthy) thing to eat? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Advantages of eating fish:
Almost all healthy diets contain fish. Fish is a food with protein and fewer calories than other sources of meat. Eating about two portions of fish a week could cut the risk of dying by heart disease by a third. The consumption of fish can lower the risk of death from heart disease by thirty six percent. A Swedish study done over thirty years on 6,000 me showed that men who did not eat fish between doubled and tripled the risk of developing prostate cancer. Compared to the men who did eat fish. Eating fish can also reduce depression due to he omega-3 fatty acids.

Disadvantages of eating fish:
Fish were made to reduce water pollution, not to be eaten. Researchers around the world discovered that regularly eating fish (one to two times a week) can increase the risk of obtaining diseases form asthma to prostate cancer. All of the people who eat fish can be faced with brain and eye diseases, because the fish absorb the oxygen in your body. There is also a better chance of getting cancer by eating fish. The human body can not digest fish very well. Thus causing cancer.

There are a few similarities between the advantages and disadvantages of eating fish. In both articles I acquired my information from they talked about depression. The article that I read that talked about advantages stated: Omega-3 fatty acids contained in fish are believed to raise levels of the brain chemical serotonin, which aids in reducing depression. http://articles.cnn.com/2007-07-11/health/pl.fish_1_fish-salmon-or-mackerel-fatty-acids?_s=PM:HEALTH
In the article about disadvantages it says: Fish will take the oxygen out of your body, and without oxygen you will feel depressed. http://svtuition.com/disadvantages-of-eating-fish/

There are also many differences stated in the two articles about advantages and disadvantages of eating fish. In the article about advantages of eating fish it talks about inflammation. It says: Omega-3 fatty acids regulate your body's inflammation cycle, which prevents and relieves painful conditions like arthritis. In the article about disadvantages it talks about low eyesight. It says: Breastfed babies of mothers who eat fish face the problem of low eyesight.

I think there are many more advantages of eating fish than there are disadvantages, and will continue to eat fish. Who knows, maybe one day ill be fishing with Dustin Lynch!
